“TWSB – Water Softener Sizing Calculator”

TWSB – Water Softener Sizing Calculator

Calculate the right water softener size for your home and learn how to apply proper sizing methodology.

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter hardness in gpg and iron in ppm (if present).
  2. The calculator compensates iron (1 ppm ≈ 4 gpg) and totals hardness.
  3. Adjust people/fixtures to reflect peak demand and daily usage.

Quick Sizing Tip

Most homes use a 45,000 grain single-tank or twin-tank system. Twin-tank softeners alternate tanks for 24/7 soft water and less salt/water use.
